Established in January 2024 in the vibrant city of Amsterdam, this acoustic musical group is on a mission to share the deep emotional resonance of fado with audiences far beyond Portugal's shores.
Since the 19th century, fado has been a powerful expression of Portuguese identity, capturing the joys and sorrows of its people. Casa de Fado Amsterdam continues this legacy, offering a profound emotional connection to audiences in the Netherlands and beyond.
What sets this group apart is the unique convergence of musicians from the new generation. Their paths crossed unexpectedly in Amsterdam, united by a mutual love for music and a passion for fado. Their regular fado sessions gave rise to this project, a dynamic community that features different fado musicians in each performance.
